Participation in the scientific and practical conference «Reproductive Health of Uzbekistan»

On September 22-23, 2023, the scientific and practical conference with international participation “Reproductive Health of Uzbekistan” was successfully completed in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. As part of this event, the ACQH Accreditation Center held a ceremonial presentation of the certificate of compliance of the State Institution «Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology» in Tashkent with the ACQH international accreditation standards of the Accreditation Center of Kazakhstan. Standards certified by ISQuaEEA establish uniform requirements for all accrediting bodies around the world and ensure their relevance and global recognition. ACQH standards are adapted for Central Asian countries and comply with the worldwide requirements imposed by ISQua, making them comparable with other standards such as JCI, AC, ACHS, etc. ISQuaEEA, an official partner of the World Health Organization, independently evaluates accrediting bodies around the world, ensuring professional recognition and compliance with the highest international standards. Currently, 38 countries in the world have an accrediting body certified by ISQuaEEA, including Kazakhstan, the only country in the CIS. This status opens the door to the international market and confirms the global recognition of the country’s accrediting body, which was successfully achieved by the accrediting body of the Republic of Kazakhstan — the NGO “Experts and Consultants on External Comprehensive Assessment in the Field of Healthcare”

Briefing on the anti-corruption policy of the Accreditation Center

On August 28, 2023, the Accreditation Center held a briefing on the main aspects of the anti-corruption policy in the field of accreditation of medical organizations. During the briefing, the participants were informed in detail about the corruption risks associated with the accreditation process in medical organizations, as well as what actions can be regarded as bribery in this context. Among these unacceptable actions, the following were highlighted: acceptance of money in any form, gifts and other material values from officials and employees of medical organizations; food at the expense of a medical organization; travel to a medical organization at the expense of medical organization. At the same time, we remind you that corruption manifested in the Association reduces economic growth, distorts competition, and undermines the trust of Medical Organizations, as it is associated with serious legal and reputational risks. And also, it is a serious barrier to the sustainable development of the Association. Corruption is a social evil that requires intervention and elimination.

We are happy to share the good news, Daniyar Ospanov, National Accreditation surveyor and member of the Accreditation Center team, became the first representative from the CIS countries to join the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) experts. Daniyar Ospanov successfully passed the selection process and received a well-deserved invitation to the ranks of 67 ISQua experts around the world. This recognition is a confirmation of his professionalism and significant contribution to the field of quality assurance in healthcare. ISQua is a respected organization that plays a key role in healthcare accreditation. It accredits leading agencies such as the Accreditation Center for Quality in Healthcare, Joint Commission International (JCI), Accreditation Canada, Korean Institute for Healthcare Accreditation (KOIHA) and many more. The mission of ISQua is to support the improvement of the quality of medical services and ensure the safety of patients around the world. This is an important achievement for Kazakhstan and proof of the high level of accreditation inour country. Solemn award ceremony of the Hospital for Civil Servants of the Mongolian People’s Republic

On July 4, 2023, a solemn ceremony of awarding the Hospital for Civil Servants of the Mongolian People’s Republic was held. The event marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s commitment to excellence in healthcare, which has been accredited by the Accreditation Center for Quality in Healthcare (ACQH). The Minister of Health of Mongolia S. Seminar on accreditation of medical organizations in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk

On April 19–21, 2023, the Accreditation Center held a training seminar on accreditation of medical organizations in Ust-Kamenogorsk for representatives of medical organizations in the East Kazakhstan region. More than 100 listeners were introduced to the updated accreditation standards of the fourth edition and the main procedures in the field of accreditation of medical organizations. Today, in the East Kazakhstan region there are 44 medical organizations subject to accreditation, 8 of which have the status of accreditation (4 public, 4 private). As a result of the seminar, the listeners received up-to-date information on the introduction, implementation and maintenance of national accreditation standards, which will undoubtedly increase the level of adherence to quality standards in the field of healthcare.
Training of accreditation surveyors
During the period from March 27 to March 31, 2023, the ACQH Accreditation Center organized a comprehensive training program for accreditation surveyors. The training aimed to familiarize future surveyors with the updated accreditation standards and equip them with the best assessment methods and techniques. Practical classes, known as tracers, were conducted at the clinics of the UMC Corporate Foundation. During these sessions, trainees gained practical experience in tracer and survey methodologies and learned about the real-world implementation of accreditation standards. These classes were carried out in collaboration with the UMC Quality Management Department. The UMC Corporate Foundation places significant emphasis on adhering to quality standards and ensuring the safety of medical care. They achieve this through the use of continuous quality improvement methodologies, promoting professional development opportunities for medical personnel in renowned medical institutions worldwide, and implementing a patient-oriented medical care system. The process of selecting applicants for the training program involved two stages: testing and an interview with a commission that included a psychologist. The next stage for successful applicants will be an internship, which grants access to accreditation without the right to conduct assessments. The curriculum of the ACQH Accreditation Center is accredited by The International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), confirming that the training program meets international requirements and standards. Additionally, the ACQH Accreditation Center underwent evaluation for compliance with the standards of institutional accreditation set by the Eurasian Center for Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education and Healthcare (ECAQA). As a result, it was included in the register of the Bologna Process Center for Academic Mobility. Furthermore, the Accreditation Center has received accreditation from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan to provide training to employees of medical organizations within the Republic of Kazakhstan on accreditation matters. Overall, the ACQH Accreditation Center’s comprehensive training program, international recognition, and multiple accreditations demonstrate its commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in healthcare and fostering continuous professional development among medical personnel.
